U1218 Communication Failure with the Electrical or Power Management Unit (Manufacturer Code) High
The U1218 code means that on Peugeot and Citroen vehicles the network has lost communication with the unit that manages the vehicle electrical supply, known as the BSI. On Nissan and Infiniti vehicles the same number refers to something completely different: the hard drive connection of the multimedia system. The most common cause on the Peugeot and Citroen side is a weak battery or corroded grounds, not the module itself.
