P2457 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooling System Performance High
The P2457 code means the EGR cooler is not lowering the exhaust gas temperature enough, usually because it is clogged or short of coolant. A cooler that leaks coolant into the exhaust is serious and can damage the engine. Stop driving if you see white smoke or lose coolant.
