P2000 NOx Trap Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1) Medium
The P2000 code means the NOx trap on a modern diesel is not holding as much nitrogen oxide as it should. The trap needs regular regeneration cycles, and the usual causes are not failed parts but how the vehicle is used: short trips, sulfur in the fuel and regenerations that get interrupted. You can drive with caution, but a long highway run and a diagnosis should come soon.
