P1612 Engine Computer to Immobilizer Communication Failure (Manufacturer Code) High
The P1612 code means the engine computer is not receiving the signal from the immobilizer module that authorizes starting. The engine cranks but does not fire. It differs from P1614 on one key point: here the problem is between the two modules, not between the immobilizer and the key.
