Order of inspection
P0983 Shift Solenoid D Control Circuit High High
The P0983 code means the control circuit of shift solenoid D shows high voltage, which points to an open circuit or a short to voltage. Inspect the gearbox connector and wiring before buying a solenoid. Harsh or missing shifts and limp mode are the usual signs.
