Order of inspection
P0730 Incorrect Gear Ratio High
The P0730 code means the computer compared the transmission input speed with the output speed and found a ratio that does not match the gear it commanded. In practice the transmission is slipping or is not engaging the gear it should, and the condition of the fluid explains a good share of cases. It is a high severity code, so drive as little as possible until it is checked.
