P0505 Idle Control System Malfunction Medium
The P0505 code means the engine is not holding the idle speed the computer commands: it stalls when you stop, hunts up and down or sits too high. The main cause is carbon buildup in the throttle body, and a detail many people miss is that you must reset the idle adaptations after cleaning it. Drive with caution, because the real risk is stalling when you come to a stop.
