P0422 Main Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1) Low
The P0422 code means the main catalytic converter on bank 1 no longer stores enough oxygen. It is a variant of P0420 on vehicles that have more than one converter. Rule out exhaust leaks, slow O2 sensors and mixture or misfire problems before you replace it.
