P0404 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Control Circuit Range/Performance Medium
The P0404 code means the EGR valve is not moving the way the computer commands, so its real position does not match the desired one. Carbon is the most common cause. It often shows up with a rough idle or pinging under load.
